Update - The Little Menomenee River Parkway OLT between Good Hope Rd and Bradley Rd was reopened on November 18th. Trail users will now by-pass previously flooded areas that made the trail impassable.
Two segments of the Oak Leaf Trail Menomonee Line between W. Good Hope Road and W. Bradley Road are located within the floodplain of nearby wetlands. These segments of the Oak Leaf Trail (approximately 1,000 linear feet of trail in total) flood regularly, making the trail unusable most of the year. By relocating the two segments of trail outside of the problematic flooding areas, this project will allow trail users to use this segment of trail without the need to detour onto nearby streets.
The total project budget is $230,000. This includes an 80% share of the first $150,000 of project costs provided through a Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) Transportation Alternatives Program (TAP) grant. The balance of project funding provided by Milwaukee County.
Construction is to be determined in summer of 2022. Additional updates will be posted when available.

Construction Detour
During construction, the detour will take place along 99th Street from W. Bradley Road to W. Green Tree Road. Route will be posted and updates made available on the Parks website.
