Milwaukee County Parks currently owns and operates 113 playgrounds across the parks system. Throughout 2022, three playground locations will have their "poured-in-place" (soft rubberized) surfacing replaced. The sites are:
- Mitchell
- Humboldt #1
- Grant #1 (shown in photo above) - near Soccer Fields by Picnic Area 4
Timeline
Latest progress and planned timeline:
- Mitchell Park - Started 9/12/22, and is now complete
- Humboldt Park #1 - Began 9/12/22, also finished
- Grant Park #1 - Removal started 9/26/22, and is now available for use!

The Mitchell Park Boulevard playground is in desperate need of resurfacing. It is unsafe for kids with the many holes and loose pieces of old material.
