Schoenecker Park Upgrades

Milwaukee County's North Shop just east of Schoenecker Park will be reconstructed starting Fall 2023. Construction staging and storage will occur within the fenced-in portion of Schoenecker Park. Unfortunately, this means the park will not be used for programmed baseball and softball in the Fall. The work is expected to be completed by April 2024.

The good news is that Parks will get new field lighting and a new parking lot at Schoenecker Park as part of this project. Also, Parks will install a new Park Sign when the work is finished.

Phasing Plan

Phase 1, Fall 2023
- Disconnect existing baseball field lighting
- Retention pond and building excavation
- Existing parking lot removal and excavation
- Curb, gutter, and sidewalks
- Paving of new parking lot

Phase 2, Spring 2024
- Landscaping
- Install new baseball field lighting
