Milwaukee County completed the replacement of the culvert under the Oak Leaf Trail (OLT) Zip Line, where a sink hole developed. This sink hole was caused by a collapsing stone culvert, built over 100 years ago, beneath the trail. Funding was secured to pursue repairs to the culvert and the trail. Construction began in Fall 2021 and was finalized in June 2022, with topsoil, seed and plantings.
The repaired trail is now open for pedestrian and bicycle use.
